RENEWAL PROJECT READINGS & PRAYER

WEEK 12 : MAR 18 - MAR 25

The Season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 14 until March 25.

What is Lent? Since at least the fourth century AD, some Christian traditions have set aside the 40 days (minus Sundays) leading up to Easter as “Lent”—a season of fasting, moderation, forms of selfdenial, repentance, and/or practicing specific spiritual disciplines. The season and its symbols aren’t anything magical or mystical; they’re simply a reminder of Jesus’ own suffering, and of Christians’ desperate need for, and reliance on, God and his gospel.

REAP QUESTIONS

DAILY PRAYER FOR CTK

● Pray that we would live as God’s new creation, fully embracing our identity in Christ & resting in his gospel

● Pray for those you’re close with in our church family, that the gospel would become more & more tangible in their everyday lives

● Pray that the good news of Jesus would take deep root in our church & our city, & we would see deep, rich revival, for the glory of God

● Easter week overtly celebrates God breathing life into death, through Jesus’own death & new life. Pray for God to save people this week!
