RENEWAL PROJECT READINGS & PRAYER
WEEK 11 : MAR 11 - Mar 17
The Season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday, February 14 until March 25.
What is Lent? Since at least the fourth century AD, some Christian traditions have set aside the 40 days (minus Sundays) leading up to Easter as “Lent”—a season of fasting, moderation, forms of selfdenial, repentance, and/or practicing specific spiritual disciplines. The season and its symbols aren’t anything magical or mystical; they’re simply a reminder of Jesus’ own suffering, and of Christians’ desperate need for, and reliance on, God and his gospel.

REAP QUESTIONS
DAILY PRAYER FOR CTK
● Pray for those who feel defeated, by sin, division, spiritual forces, or otherwise, that they would find victory in Christ
● Pray that men & women who aren’t followers of Jesus would be forgiven & experience victory in the gospel, for the brokenness within them
● Pray that God would reconcile racial divides that exist, within our culture and within the Church (both our own & the broader Church)
● Pray that Jesus would build us into a body that reflects the coming day, when those from all nations will worship God together

Question 8:
What is the law of God stated in the Ten Commandments?
Answer: You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below - you shall not bow down to them or worship them. You must not misuse the name of the Lord. Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. Honor your father and your mother. You shall not murder. You shall not commit adultery. You shall not steal. You shall not give false testimony. You shall not covet. -Exodus 20:3
