CtK believes a healthy church is led by a plurality of Elders like we see in the Scriptures (Exodus 18; Acts 16:4; 20:17; 21:18;1 Timothy 2; Titus 1) these men seek to know, feed, lead, and protect the sheep and ultimately point to our good Shepherd, Jesus Christ.
Kevin and Tara have been married 16 years and have four kids (Ashtyn 14, Jada 12, Ellie 9, & Malachi 7). They have served in a number of capacities during their years together that include inner city work, teaching and hospitality, pastoral ministry in the church and University ministry. All of this has taught them what it looks like to see the gospel of Jesus Christ make all things new in all of life. They enjoy reading, running, Crossfit, and hanging out with their kids.
Lance and Kendall have been married 6 years and have three kids (Eloise 2, Clyde 1, and Emmett 6 mos.). In their short marriage, the Cheely’s have experienced, two graduate degrees, 3 homes, 2 years struggle with infertility, and 3 children by God’s grace. With every hardship, challenge, and increase in responsibility Lance and Kendall have been driven into deeper communion with the Lord. Eldership is a continuation of that responsibility and walk of faith that the Lord has entrusted to them. They enjoy binging Netflix, movie dates, home improvements, ice cream, and hanging out with their kids.
Glenn is married to Seanette and they have two kids (Ellia and Justus). They are both from North Carolina and Glenn is a graduate of Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, NC. Glenn is also an Army Captain currently stationed at Fort Gordon, GA. Living the life of a military family, Glenn and Seanette have a passion for investing in the lives of other military families/personnel. They enjoy being outdoors, working out, and spending time with each other.
CTK also believes a healthy church is served by gifted men and women in the office of Deacon that help us to love our neighbors and our city better and help create an environment where we, as a church can function and pursue spiritual growth.
